Consar Limited to develop WestPark
Consar Limited has been awarded the construction for roads and infrastructure at the WestPark in a competitive tender. The contractor has begun to mobilize heavy equipment and set up their facilities at the WestPark. Consar’s immediate priorities include the construction of the asphalted road network, modern systems for power, telecommunications, industrial water and wastewater as well as efficient drainage channels to create the foundations for a world class industrial and business park.
The Member of Parliament for Shama (Hon Dr Ato Panford), Community leaders from Yabiw attended Consar’s mobilization following several consultation meetings where Nana Wienu II, the traditional Chief of Yabiw was present.
Hon Dr Ato Panford MP Shama re-emphasized that “the surrounding communities are committed to attracting leading global and local companies and contribute to an industrialized economy and His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo’s vision of a Ghana Beyond Aid.”
Local stakeholders also commended Consar’s commitment to hire locally where possible to create opportunities for surrounding communities throughout construction.
Consar has demonstrated a track record in building modern facilities across various sectors, including the ENI Ghana Onshore Receiving Facility and Oxford Mall. Most recently, the company completed Mantrac’s multi-million dollar West Africa Headquarters and state-of-the-art parts re-modeling factory for Caterpillar heavy equipment. This facility is one of the largest and most advanced in Africa and, like WestPark, is based in the fast-growing Western Region of Ghana.

The WestPark is a 405-acre commercial, industrial and residential development in a strategic location in Takoradi, Western Region, Ghana. Railway Extension to the enclave
Plans are far advanced to extend the railway lines from Kojokrom to the industrial enclave. This has been a fulfillment of a request by the Member of Parliament for Shama Constituency, Hon. Dr. Ato Panford to the sector Minister, Hon. Joe Ghartey.
The extension of the railway lines to the enclave would enhance cost efficient haulage of finished products from the WestPack to the Takoradi Port to ease export of merchandise and inflow of imported raw materials to clients of the Industrial Park to facilitate industrialisation and trade. This project is expected to commence soon.
