Shama District fire station gets pickup from MP

Madam Emelia Arthur, Member of Parliament for Shama, has donated a brand-new pickup vehicle to the Shama Municipal Fire Service Station.
The gesture fulfils a promise made to the Fire Service during my 2024 campaign to equip the Fire Service with the right tools and resources.
Madam Authur at the handing over ceremony said, it was crucial to enhance commitment to saving lives and properties. “I am pleased to support their operations and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on our community,’ she added.

She said the poor state of the station building would soon receive attention from the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly to undertake the necessary renovation
works.
Mr. Emmanuel Bonney, the District Fire Commander, assured that the vehicle would be used for its intended purpose, adding, ” Together, we can build a safer and more
resilient community.”
