THE SHAMA DISTRICT ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT EMBARKED ON PUBLIC HEALTH EDUCATION ACTIVITIES.

51 communities were covered during our health educate activities and 6 markets were also visited to ensure the adherence to COVID-19 and health protocols. Emphasis were laid on the regular wearing of nose masks, frequent hand washing with soap under clean running water and social distancing.

Most of the market women have relax on the protocols and move around without nose masks. But they were asked to use them. Churches, lorry stations and other public gatherings were also visited to ensure the adherence to the protocols.

Education was also done on proper waste management. How to handle and manage household waste and its disposal. 

Communities were also educated on proper management of waste in the environment.
