Traditional leaders meet companies operating within Shama Municipality

The Shama Traditional Council has held a crucial stakeholder meeting to deepen collaboration between the Council and companies operating within the Shama Municipality.
The meeting, held in Shama, and chaired by Osagyefo Kwaw Fraiku IV, the President of the Council, brought together chiefs, queen mothers, and representatives from key institutions, including Twyford Ghana Ceramic Factory, Volta River Authority (VRA), local banks, Police Service, Fire Service and Lands Commission.

They discussed issues including corporate registration with the Council, participation in traditional activities, sponsorship management, corporate social responsibility
(CSR) performance, employment opportunities for locals, and land acquisition procedures.
In his address, Osagyefo Kwaw Fraiku IV stressed the importance of maintaining a positive and cooperative relationships between enterprises in the area and the
traditional council.
He noted that the Council served as a vital link between companies and the community and stood ready to support businesses in addressing their challenges within its jurisdiction.
He further encouraged open communication and mutual support to foster regional harmony and sustainable development in the Shama Municipality. He shared some insights into the company’s CSR initiatives and noted that the tiles adorning the Council’s conference hall were donated by Twyford Ghana as part of its
community support efforts.
Mr Wei also announced a donation of 40 sets of toilets to the Shama Traditional Council, a gesture that was warmly received by the chiefs and queen mothers.
The Council expressed its profound gratitude to Twyford Ghana for its continuous contributions towards improving the welfare of the Shama community.
