FON And Shama District Assembly Holds Community Interface Engagement Meeting

FON and the Shama District Assembly hold community interface engagement meetings with some communities within the Shama District. Some of the communities are Shama Apo, Assorko, Supomu Dunkwa, and Lower Inchaban.

The objective was to facilitate a dialogue between service providers and citizens, ensuring transparency and accountability in their operations.

Service Providers were Educational Director, District Health Director, WASH focal Person, Director for Agric, Gender Services, and others.

Key Issues Raised:

4. Additional fees: School management collects extra money during B.E.C.E examinations.

5. Lack of sensitization: On agriculture products and farming practices (seedlings).

6. Poor cooperation: Between school management and Parent Teacher Association (P.T.A).
