The Environmental Health Unit carried out Monitoring and Supervision of Service Provider (SIP)

The Unit had carried out monitoring and supervision of Sanitation Improvement Package (SIP) service provider from January to December 2023 to ensure effective work delivery. The usual cleaning of the Central Business District and prompt removal of central refuse containers was done successfully.  All the Sanitation Improvement Package workers have performed their duties accurately.

There are currently fifteen (15) central refuse containers which one is completely damaged and seven (7) of them were deteriorating which needs urgent attention. 

Due to timely removal of central refuse containers to the final waste disposal site in the communities, the sites were always clean whenever the monitoring team visit the site. Areas such as markets, lorry stations, streets were also perfectly done to satisfaction.

A new Skip (DONGFENG) Truck with registration number GR 6601-23 was given to the District by Zoomlion Ghana Limited to replace one of the old trucks which is totally spoiled.

The Skip truck No. GR6159-16 which was in good condition has also spoiled and under repairs. The new truck had worked for 365 days in the year and had lifted 964 containers.
